Dr. Robin Louis - Senior Advisor, Vanedge Capital Since his retirement from full time participation in the venture capital industry, Robin Louis has been an active “angel” investor, backing and advising several emerging companies.

He also serves as a Senior Advisor to Vanedge Capital, where he advises on fund management issues and is a member of the Investment Committee. Dr. Louis was a partner at Ventures West Capital Ltd. 1991-2008 and served as President 1999-2005 and Chairman 2006-2008.  His investment activities focused on software firms and he served on the boards of several private and public (TSE & NASDAQ) companies.

Prior to joining Ventures West, Dr. Louis was President of Columbia Computing Services—a software company that became the dominant supplier of school administration software to school districts and state boards of education in Canada and the US.  Columbia was listed on the TSE and subsequently was acquired by a British company. He is a member of the Board of Governors of Science World British Columbia where he also serves on the Chair’s Advisory Committee and is Chair of the Capital Campaign.

Dr. Louis was President of the Canadian Venture Capital & Private Equity Association 2003—2005 and Chairman 2006—2008. He has also served as a director of the CVCA, the Vancouver Enterprise Forum and the AceTech Academy for Technology CEOs. Dr. Louis earned B.Sc. (Honours) and M.Sc. degrees from the University of Victoria and a Ph.D. in physics from the University of British Columbia.

Ken Spencer - Founder and Former CEO – Creo Products Ken Spencer co-founded Creo Products in 1983. Creo grew to become British Columbia’s largest technology company by revenue, with over 4000 employees in BC, North America, Europe and Israel.

Ken retired as Creo’s CEO in 1995, remaining on Creo’s board until its acquisition by Kodak for over $1 billion in 2005. For the past fifteen years, Ken has served as investor, co-founder, chair or director of numerous BC-based technology companies, not-for-profits, and educational institutions. He is board chair at Yaletown portfolio company Redlen Technologies, and served as board chair at Bycast until its acquisition in 2010 by NetApp.

Ken is a member of the Board of the British Columbia Institute of Technology, is chair of UBC’s Electrical and Computer Engineering Advisory Committee, and is on the Council for UBC’s University Liaison Office. Ken graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1967 with a bachelor of applied science degree in electrical engineering and a doctorate degree in 1972. He was inducted as a business laureate into the British Columbia Hall of Fame in May 2011.

Keith White - Senior VP, Gap Inc Keith White is currently the Senior Vice President of loss prevention and corporate administration for Gap Inc., one of the world’s largest specialty retailers.

With over 20 years of experience in retail and loss prevention at companies like Marshall Fields and Mervyns, Keith also represents Gap Inc. on the National Retail Federation Loss Prevention Advisory Council and serves as a Member of the Editorial Board for Loss Prevention magazine. A graduate of Western Illinois University where he received his bachelor of arts degree in law enforcement administration, Keith also earned his master’s degree in criminology from Chicago State University.

Greg Wolfe – Former GM, EVP - Business Objects Greg Wolfe has more than 20 years of years of experience in the high technology industry and is an active advisor to CEOs around the globe in the area of creating rapidly growing and customer-obsessed companies.

He served as the Executive Vice President of Operations of Business Objects SA for several years until its sale to SAP in 2008. In his time at Business Objects, he helped lead the organization through hyper growth, creating the #1 business intelligence provider in the world with over $1 billion in revenues, millions of licensed users, and over 5000 employees.

Greg previously served as Vice President of Americas Sales at Crystal Decisions, where he was one of the primary architects of its global success. Greg is an active private company board member and holds a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Regina.
